What this means |
| The sea scouts meet at Avoch School on Friday evenings from 1900-2130. If we are not there, you can find us at Avoch Harbour or Chanonry Sailing Club. | You need to listen
carefully each week to find out where we are meeting the
following week. You can also check the news
blog. Click

What's
the RN Recognition Badge about? |
Avoch Sea Scouts are one
of only three sea scout groups in Scotland to be
recognised by the Royal Navy. We get inspected every
18 months to check that what we do is fun, challenging and
safe. We are very proud to be RN Sea Scouts. Find out more. Click Here. |
Why do Avoch Sea
Scouts speak Gaelic? |
We use Gaelic for
ceremonies and orders. In 2007, The Highland Year of
Culture, we decided to learn to use Scots Gaelic.
Its an important part of our Highland tradition and
heritage, and its cool to be the only Sea Scouts in the
world who use it! We are grateful to Comunn na
Gàidhlig for their support. Find out more. Click Here. |
What is a sponsored
scout group? |
Some scout groups are
supported by schools, churches and other
organisations. They help with leaders, a place to
meet and take an interest in our activities. Avoch
Sea Scouts work closely with Chanonry Sailng Club.
We share our boats, help each other out with activities,
and we get to use their fantastic clubhouse. Find out more. Click Here. |
